Green Tomato Relish

5 qt. green tomatoes
1/2 c. salt
3 qt. onions
8 c. sugar
2 qt. bell peppers (some red for color)
1 c. hot pepper
2 qt. vinegar

Cut tomatoes bite size and put salt over and let stand while you cut up other ingredients. Stir after a bit. Before adding other ingredients, drain water off. Add cut up onions, peppers (hot, red and green), vinegar and sugar. Bring to a boil just enough to seal. More hot pepper can be used if you like it hotter.
